Place your deposit and reserve a whole grass-fed & grain-finished Texas Wagyu beef from Outpost 76 Cattle Co.

Raised in East Texas, our cattle are raised on a premium feed ration, with over 70% sourced directly from our farm. This F1 Wagyu-Angus cross delivers consistent marbling, deep flavor, and unmatched tenderness across every cut. Processing takes place at a USDA-inspected facility in Fort Worth, TX, and all beef is 100% Halal-certified.

How It Works:

When purchasing a whole or half beef, it’s important to understand how weight is measured. Our cattle typically weigh between 1,400-1,600LB+ before processing, referred to as live weight. After slaughter, the carcass before aging, trimming and deboning, is usually around 800-900LB+, also known as hanging weight, which is how we calculate the final price of your bulk beef order. 

Average Price: 100% Angus: $6.50/LB hanging weight or ~$5,400 for a whole steer

The final packaged weight—the actual meat you take home—averages 400-500LB+, depending on your chosen cuts and whether you keep items like bones and offal. Selecting more boneless cuts, ground beef, or trimmed steaks will reduce the final take-home weight, while keeping more bone-in options will maintain a higher yield.

When based on packaged weight, this breaks down to around $12/lb across all cuts, including high-value steaks like ribeye, tenderloin, and NY strip. 

Our Default Butcher Specs Include:

  • Steaks: 2 per vacuum-sealed pack, butcher’s choice thickness

  • Roasts: 3–4LB portions

  • Stew Meat: 1LB packs

  • Ground Beef: 1LB packs

Prefer something different? We’re a fully custom butcher shop. Adjust thickness, portion sizes, or request specialty prep such as:

  • Tenderized or cubed cuts

  • Burger patties (½ lb, ⅓ lb, ¼ lb)

  • Marinated cuts, custom lean-to-fat ratio, rendered tallow, & more.

All orders are processed to your specifications and typically ready within 2-4 weeks.
